A Hudson Valley cop was arrested for making multiple racist comments towards a taxi driver.

In late January, while on vacation in the U.K., Lawrence Danglewicz grabbed a cab. During the drive, the 35-year-old from Accord accused the taxi driver of talking the long way, reports the Derby Telegraph

As the argument got more heated, Danglewicz, who later admitted he was drinking for about eight hours, called the taxi driver a racially abusive name four times, according to the Derby Telegraph.

He also allegedly shouted, ‘You don’t know who I am, I’m a police officer,’ a prosecutor said in court.

According to the Derby Telegraph, Danglewicz is a cop in New York State. A source who would like to remain anonymous tells Hudson Valley Post that the 35-year-old,  pictured second from the right in the above photo, is a Town of Fallsburgh police officer.

The paper reports Danglewicz was arrested after the cab driver called the police and the 35-year-old from Accord repeated the racial remark.

Danglewicz pleaded guilty to using racially-aggravated aggressive, insulting or abusive words or behavior and was fined £1,960, reports the Derby Telegraph. The fine comes out to about $2,417.
