A local city has been named the drunkest in New York. In fact, three Hudson Valley Cities have made the top ten.

Roadsnacks.net compiled the list of the drunkest towns and cities in New York and our area is well represented. Several factors were taken into consideration:

  • bars and pubs per capita
  • wineries per capita
  • liquor stores per capita
  • drunk tweets released from the last 7 days
  • city's divorce rate

To determine the number of drunk tweets per city, the hashtags #drunk, #party, #beer, #wine and #cocktails were used.

Here are the top five on the list. For a look at the full top 10, visit Roadsnacks.net

#1: Kingston, with a population just under 24,000 has the 4th most bars per capita in all of New York state. There is also one of the highest divorce rates in the state which could be a result of too many nights belly up at the pub.
