If you're in a hurry but still want to grab your Ash Wednesday ashes, you're in luck.

It seems like everyone is in a rush these days. With no time to do the simplest of chores we now live in a world where you can get your groceries dropped off right at your door, have your oil changed while sitting in your car or buy just about anything you'd ever need online and have it delivered in just two days.

A Hudson Valley church is keeping up with the times by offering "Ashes to Go" this Ash Wednesday.

First Congregational United Church of Christ

The First Congregational United Church of Christ in Poughkeepsie will be set up on their lawn this Wednesday during the morning rush hour and lunch time to allow Christians to fit their ashes into their busy schedule.

The church, located on the westbound arterial in the City of Poughkeepsie, will have clergy members outside on the front lawn. Anyone can pull up in the parking lot, get their ashes and be on their merry way. Of course, there will also be church services for anyone who wishes to participate.

It's a program that's been implemented by a few Episcopal churches throughout the Hudson Valley. If you're interested, call your local church office to find out if they'll also be offering ashes on the go.
