Sunday night's temperatures are expected to dip to -7, but winds in a few key areas may have gusts as high as 50 mph causing a wind chill of -40.

There's no way around it, it's going to get a whole lot colder before President's Day weekend ends. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning until 9am on Monday for most of the Hudson Valley.

Most of the snow has now moved through our area, but extremely cold temperatures remain. Most spots should expect high winds throughout the day on Sunday, with gusts ranging from 25 to 50 mph. Evening wind will make temperatures feel like -25 in Poughkeepsie through Middletown and as low as -40 in Sullivan County and other northern areas.

The wind is also a major concern for drivers. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through President's Day, warning drivers to be extra cautious on roads that may become suddenly covered by blowing snow. Visibility may be low at times throughout the rest of the long weekend as the wind could quickly pick up drifting snow.
