McDonald's has announced the return of the McLobster. While it's not available in most of the country, lucky Hudson Valley residents can give them a try.

Last summer McDonald's brought back their twist on the classic lobster roll. It was one of those rare menu items that somehow previously fell from existence for about 10 years. This year, the McLobster is back again and it's being made available closer to home.

The McLobster is freshly prepared and, according to a press release, made with 100 percent North Atlantic lobster meat. The sandwich is topped with shredded lettuce and served on a toasted roll.

Those who hold their favorite lobster roll close to their hearts may see a fast food version of the classic sandwich as an abomination, but the real selling point of this sandwich is the price. For only $8.99 you really can't go wrong at least trying a lobster roll that promises t's made from only 100% real lobster.

The sandwich is only being made available through the summer at 600 McDonald's restaurants. Locations throughout New England will have the McLobster, including the Albany, New York area. That's right, you can get one this year just by taking a quick ride up the Thruway.

So if you've always wanted to try a McLobster, get yourself to the upper Hudson Valley this summer and stop into an Albany McDonalds. Of course, we'd love to hear what you think. You can share your reviews on our Facebook page.
