This is scary.

Three people are really lucky that weren't hurt after the hot air balloon they were in draped over nearby power lines.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the balloon's pilot, Kimberly Field of Munnsville, NY, and two other people were in the balloon Monday evening when a mechanical failure forced the pilot to land before their set destination.

The balloon's basket got to the ground without any problems, but balloon itself hit some power lines overhead.

The Times Herald reports there were power outages plus extensive damage caused to the balloon.

The accident happened near Augusta, New York.

Police say that Thomas J. Caracci and Meaghan E. Caracci of Bridgeport, New York were the passengers.

No one was hurt.

Thankfully, this didn't turn into another tragedy like in Texas when sixteen people were killed when a hot air balloon hit power lines on July 30.
