Host A Lemonade Stand With Our Help
Host your own Alex's Lemonade Stand event this summer and The Boris & Robyn Show will help get the word out! Are you planning a garage sale or block party? Maybe your business is having a big sale or special event? We can promote your event on-air and help you draw even more customers! Just set up a lemonade stand and help us fight childhood cancer one cup at a time. Click through and register your event. Alex's Lemonade Stand will send you a free fundraising kit with signs, giveaways and tips on hosting a successful stand. In addition, The Boris & Robyn Show will plug your event live on the air and drive people to your location.
WPDH is teaming up all Summer with Woodstock Harley-Davidson, Mainetti, Mainetti and O'Connor and Rita's Italian Ice to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand. The charity, founded by a 4-year-old Alexandra Scott, benefits kids suffering from childhood cancer. Alex was diagnosed with cancer shortly before the age of 1. The day after her 4th birthday, she received a stem cell transplant and informed her mother, "when I get out of the hospital I want to have a lemonade stand." Alex said she wanted to give the money to doctors to allow them to "help other kids, like they helped me." True to her word, she held her first lemonade stand later that year with the help of her older brother and raised an amazing $2,000 for "her hospital." Since then, Alex's Lemonade Stand has been raising money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, looking for new treatments and cures.
To honor Alex and her fight against childhood cancer, The Boris & Robyn Show is hosting a summer-long lemonade stand all over The Hudson Valley. Come by any of our events and donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand. You'll get a lemonade ice from local participating Rita's Italian Ice locations in Poughkeepsie, Middletown, Vails Gate, Hyde Park and Wappingers Falls. And you'll also be entered to win a 2014 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 from Woodstock Harley-Davidson.
Thanks for helping Alex's Lemonade Stand. We hope you can host an event or at least attend one of ours to help the cause!
