While the rain wasn't too bad in the Hudson Valley, parts of Long Island were hit with historic flooding, as up to 13 inches of rain fell across parts of the region. Cars were reported stalled this morning during rush hour, as the rain fell so fast motorists were forced to abandon their vehicles. Read more HERE

Multiple local government agencies on Long Island declared states of emergency Wednesday, after a storm dumped nearly an entire summer’s worth of rain, causing major flooding in some spots that stranded motorists and snarled the morning commute.
