The most sought after toy of the year finally arrived in the Hudson Valley just in time for Christmas.

The temperature was a brisk 21 degrees early Sunday morning, but that didn't seem to bother the dozens of people lined up in front of the Target store in Poughkeepsie. Some of them had spent the night, braving frigid temperatures just to get a chance at purchasing a Hatchimal.

It's safe to say that Hatchimals are the must-have toy this Christmas, but not everyone has been lucky enough to find them. The Furby-like creatures that hatch from their own shell pretty much sold out everywhere right before Thanksgiving. Supply has not yet caught up with demand so that's why Sean Brown starting lining up at 11pm on Saturday night:

Brown says he waited outside all night long in front of the Target store in the Poughkeepsie Galleria with a camping chair and a blanket to make sure he was able to purchase one of only 16 Hatchimals that were sold on Sunday morning.

The last person to grab a ticket, guaranteeing a Hatchimnal purchase, showed up at 4:30am. But that didn't stop others from lining up behind him this morning, hoping that more toys would be made available.

As the 16 ticket holders calmly made their way to Customer Service at 8am, the rest of the line raced to the toy aisle where they planned on camping out until the next truck arrived. Many of them were hoping that it would be filled with more Hatchimals that would eventually make their way to the shelves later in the day.
