Temperatures earlier this week may have approached the mid 70s, but the mild weather isn't going to last for long.

Forecasters say that a cold front will move through the area by late Friday setting up some of the coldest temperatures since early spring. Behind the front, temps will fall Friday night to the mid to upper 30s. Saturday will only see high's in the mid to upper 40s. Some of the higher elevations in the Catskills might even see some snow flurries by the weekend. Snow showers are expected across parts of the Adirondacks and the Southern Tier.

A frost or hard freeze could effect the Hudson Valley both Saturday night and Sunday night. Meteorologists say that the temperatures will fall to the upper 20's to lower 30's across the region.
