Angry Orchard, the hard-cider maker, is coming to Montgomery.

According to the Times Herald Record, the town planning board gave them a conditional site plan approval for a facility which includes a cidery and tasting room. The site is an apple orchard that is about 60-acres on Albany Post Road.

They plan to use the apples from the orchard on Albany Post Road and import additional as well.

The company will add about 5 full-time employees to the staff already there, plus other seasonal workers, according to the report. Construction is set to begin in March and be done by November.

The facility will use about 6.8 acres, which includes a over 10,000-square foot cidery.

They had to obtain a separate permit for the tasting room, which the board has already approved.
