A report of an active fight with shots fired in the City of Newburgh led to the arrest of a Dutchess County female and two City of Newburgh residents, including a teenager, on weapon and drug charges.

City of Newburgh Police say they responded to an area near 253 S. William Street for a report of an active fight with shots fired. When police arrived many people were in the area, but no one was shot. At that time officers observed two people enter an SUV in an attempt to flee the scene.
Authorities pulled over the vehicle and removed the three occupants. During their investigation police allege they found two loaded handguns, a .44 caliber revolver and a .380 semi-automatic handgun, inside the SUV.

Police arrested 27-year-old Bianca S. Colon, of Beacon, 18-year-old Shaheem E. Seda and 25-year-old Qaadir J. Smith, both from the City of Newburgh. All three were charged with felony weapons possession.

Police say Smith was also found to be in possession of 5 additional .44 caliber bullets and 16 grams of crack cocaine. Smith was additionally charged with felony drug possession.

All three were held in jail pending their arraignments.
