Great Gift Idea! Nordstrom is Selling an $85 Dollar Rock

Looking to waste some much needed money? How about a gift idea for a family member you don't really like?

Well, you may be in luck.

Nordstrom is now selling a rock for only eighty five dollars. Yeah, an $85 dollar rock that you can put on your mantle and pretend to understand the deeper meaning of.

Time says that the Seattle, WA based chain store has had the item for sale since November 18. Nordstrom's website describes it as a smooth Los Angeles-area stone—wrapped in rich, vegetable-tanned American leather secured by sturdy contrast backstitching.

The store website suggests you could use the rock as a paperweight, or a maybe a conversation piece.

Nordstrom told Buzzfeed, that "only Mother Earth can take credit for the rocks.”

Man, we would have loved to have been in that marketing meeting where they came up with this idea. Maybe this will help the store get sales back on track?

You can always order the overpriced rock online. Or if you want the full rock shopping experience, you could always head to the nearest Nordstrom store in White Plains or Paramus, New Jersey. Just in time for Christmas!
