Are you a supporter of local, independent music stores? You should be. Are you a fan of vinyl? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you will want to be at the grand re-opening of Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, Jan. 16 starting at 10AM.

Darkside is celebrating their new location at 611 Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie. That's on Route 44 just after the Route 44/55 split. The new store has an expanded 6,000 square foot sales floor with an expanded inventory, a new hi-fi/stereo room with new and used turntables and audio equipment, and a live music stage for touring and local acts and events. It's more than just a record store.

Saturday's celebration features live music starting at 2PM with several local bands. While you're there, you can make a donation to Sparrow's Nest, a local non-profit charity. There will be raffles with some great prizes donated by local businesses.
