A Goshen man was arresting for cashing over 50 checks that didn't belong to him, stealing over $10,000, police say.

New York State Police in Monroe arrested 37-year-old Joseph J. Zajac II, of Goshen on charges of 3rd-degree grand larceny, 4th-degree grand larceny, and petit larceny.

Between January 26, 2015 through December 27, 2015 Zajac allegedly cashed 54 personal checks that did not belong to him, stealing a total amount of $10,600 dollars.

Zajac II was arraigned in the Town of Goshen Justice Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $8,000 cash bail and $13,000 bond.
