Goodyear is recalling roughly 48,500 SUV tires, due to small cracks that appeared during an endurance test.

The recall covers the 18-inch Fortera HL tires that were made between Nov.30 - Jan.10, according to Goodyear.

General Motors Co. was forced to stop selling roughly 6,300 Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave models until the the tires are replaced.

Owners can have the tires replaced for free at any Goodyear store or authorized dealer/

32,000 of the tires were made for GMC SUV's, produced at the factory in Michigan. the other tires were sold as replacements.
