Actor Frank Sivero has an issue with The Simpsons and now he's suing for $250 million in damages. So why all the fuss? Sivero claims that the reacurring character...Lou “Louie” Walters (an underling to Springfield mob boss Fat Tony) is a direct ripoff of Frank Carbon, the charcter he played in Goodfellas. Sivero claims that writers for the show were living near him in 1989 and 1990 when he was prepping for the role of Carbon. The suit explains that Sivero "continues to suffer severe financial damages in the form of lost income [he] should have received in compensation for his name and likeness being used.” Sivero says in this 5 page complaint that Simpsons producer James L. Brooks was highly aware of who Sivero was, the fact that he created the role of Frankie Carbone, and thatThe Simpsons character Louie would be based on this character.”

Mafia Lou first appeared on The Simpsons during Season 4 in Oct 1991 and has since appeared in about a dozen or so episodes,
