The Apocalypse Blues Revue featuring drummer Shannon Larkin and guitarist Tony Rombola play this Saturday, Sept. 24 at The Loft (upstairs at The Chance) in Poughkeepsie.

The Apocalypse Blues Revue was co-founded by Godsmack's Shannon Larkin and Tony Rombola and features vocalist Ray "Rafer John"Cerbone on lead vocals and bassist Brian Carpenter. Describing the band, Shannon Larkin says "as far as blues go, Apocalypse Blues Revue is a little heavier, a little darker, and has some punk rock attitude in the lyrics." Tony Rombola added, "There's always been some blues in my playing. It came from classic rock like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC. Then I got into guys like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Gales. We decided to mix it up, merging traditional blues and heavier elements." The band's debut album is out now. For more info, check out the official band website here.
