Giving Thanks on Memorial Day

Maybe you're off to a picnic or cookout today.  Having a few beers and burgers to celebrate the kick off to summer.  I'm going to a party myself.  We'll be laughing and having fun, I'm sure.

But, before we party, let's remember what Memorial Day is all about.  A day to remember our fallen soldiers.  Those men and women who went to war to fight for our freedom.  Those who knew they were risking their lives so our lives could be better.

Thank you to all who have fought for our country, and thank you to all the soldiers who put their lives on the line everyday.  Would I rather see world peace?  Of course.  But until that happens, I send prayers and thanks to our troops.
