Are you one of those people that can't have a pen and a piece of paper in front of you without doodling? I know I am. And sometimes my doodles aren't half bad. If you're like me, and you'd like to explore your creative side, then head to the Red Hook Public Library this Saturday.

Having creative outlets as a habit has been linked to happiness and improved mental health. Get your year started off creatively with the next in the series of hands on workshops, Art Journaling, from 10:30 am - 12 noon this Saturday, January 5th at Red Hook Public Library at 7444 S. Broadway in Red Hook. Learn tips and techniques in creating a daily practice of drawing, doodling, painting and collage from local artist Pamela Deitrich.

Bring favorite drawing tools and a blank sketchbook if you’d like, but supplies will also be provided. For more information, call the Red Hook Public Library at 845-758-3241.
