Tuesday morning a garbage truck driving in the Hudson Valley crashed into a vehicle and then into a building.

Ramapo Police responded around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to reports of an accident between a garbage truck and mini-van.

Police say the accident occurred at the intersection of Route 59 and Route 306 in Monsey. The collision involved a 1999 Mack Track and 2015 Toyota Sienna.

After the initial collision the garbage truck crashed into a former car dealership at the corner of the intersection.

The Ramapo Building Inspector responded to the accident. Police and emergency officials are working quickly to remove everything to minimize traffic delays.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. More details may be released. We will continue to monitor this story and update.

Police are not releasing the name of either drivers. No injuries have been reported.
