Hyde Park - It came down to free throws! Roosevelt and Saugerties playing the final game of the regular season to decide which team would win the division and get the opportunity to be included in the post season Mid-Hudson Athletic League tournament.

It was a fast paced, "run and gun" game where both teams put up a combined 45 points in the first 8 minutes of play. Saugerties led 25-20 after 1. Late in the game, Ishmael Chisolm hit a 3-pointer and Ruben Jimenez followed up with a  driving layup to tie the score at 59, but this game was ultimately decided by foul shots.

Saugerties was a perfect 18 for 18 from the charity stripe while Roosevelt was 14 for 16, and those two missed free throws proved to be the same differential in the final score. Saugerties won it 68-66. Paton Gibbs finished with 18 points, Darnell Edge had 17. Chisolm led all scorers with 25.

Saugerties will play Red Hook in the first round of the MHAL's Monday night at SUNY Ulster at 7 p.m.
