The former Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick is going to be going through a change. The founder of Frozen Ropes Training Centers has bought 36 acres of the facility and plans to rename the space 'The Yard,' according to Times Herald Record.  This will serve as a venue to host a number of athletic events including football, baseball, and soccer. Tony Abbatine, the founder of Frozen Ropes, hopes the new venue will meet the growing demand for sports facilities in the Hudson Valley.

The Town of Warwick had created the development company, which paid the state $3.5 million to purchase the former medium security prison. The prison had shut down three years ago. The Town had since renamed the area the Warwick Valley Office and Technology Corporate Park.
