A woman who recently moved out of the Hudson Valley was arrested by local police for stealing over $9,000.

New York State Police in Monroe charged 43-year-old Felicia Greene, now of the Bronx with 3rd-degree grand larceny, 1st-degree falsifying business records, and 1st-degree offer for filing a false instrument all felonies.

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the New York State Department of Labor Special Investigation Division and the New York State Police.

Greene, a former resident of the Town of Chester, allegeldy unlawfully collected over $9,000 worth of unemployment insurance benefits between June of 2015 and December of 2015.

Greene was arraigned before the Town of Chester Court and released on $150 cash bail. She is scheduled to return to the Town of Chester Court on June 6.
