A former Hudson Valley resort could see new life as a sports complex that would also feature two hotels on the property. The owner of the one time Nevele resort has secured over $300 million in funding that would transform the property into something the whole community could use.

The Times Herald Record reports an official proposal has not yet been submitted to the town planning board. Three years ago, property owner Michael Treanor proposed a project that would include four baseball fields, little leafue fields and facilities for soccer, lacrosse and field hockey.

Wawarsing Town Supervisor Leonard Distel stated there is hopes for the project to be completed by 2020. There are hopes that the facility could draw up to a million people a year to the area.

With this development proposed along with Legoland and the casino, will there be too many people coming to the Hudson Valley? Traffic is pretty bad as it is already. Or is it worth it for the increased business?
