A former Hudson Valley party boat, based out of Kingston, has sunk in the Atlantic ocean.

The Daily Freeman reports the vessel sank on November 4th off the coast of North Carolina and crew members are 'lucky to be alive'. The Coast Guard rescued the 3 person crew, after attempting to use pumps to alleviate the flooding. None of the three person crew were local residents. The 'Teal' was en route to Moorehead City, approximately 175 miles south of Cape Hatteras.

Kingston Harbor Master Scott Herrington stated the 60 foot boat had no business being that far out to sea. While in the Hudson Valley the boat was primarily used as a charter party boat in and around Rondout Creek.

The 'Teal' was available for parties, corporate outings and family gatherings. North River Charters who operates the vessel are reportedly planning to purchase another boat to replace the sunken according to Harbor Master Herrington.
