According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Dewey Bozella and Dutchess County agreed to settle his $25 million wrongful imprisonment lawsuit. The exact amount of the settlement is still to be approved, however. Bozella served 26 years in prison for the murder of 92 year-old Emma Crapser of Poughkeepsie in 1977. A judge later ruled that Bozella was not guilty. Click HERE for more details on the settlement.

Bozella was an amateur boxer at the time of his arrest, and continued competing while at Sing Sing Correctional Facility, and even won the prison's Light Heavyweight Championship  In 2011 Bozella lived his dream of becoming a professional boxer at the age of 52, when he won his debut bout against Larry Hopkins.
