Monday could be the hottest day of the year for many of here in the Hudson Valley, but milder weather should be on the way.

Monday's highs could reach the mid 90s, with relatively high humidity,  making it feel even hotter and more uncomfortable.

A front will move through the area Monday afternoon, which could bring the threat of severe weather across the state. Right now, there primary threat with these storms will be damaging winds, though there's always the chance for an isolated tornado.

Storms will move out of the region by Monday evening, with cooler, dryer conditions on the way.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be beautiful, with highs in low 80s and lower humidity. Overnight temperatures will be unseasonably cool, with lows only in the 50s.

The nice weather should last until late into the week, as warmer, more humid weather should return bu late Thursday into Friday. Highs Friday are expected to be back into the 90s.
