Food Network Star and Governor’s Girlfriend has Cancer

Sandra Lee, partner to Governor Cuomo and the star of Semi-Homemade Cooking, has revealed that she's been diagnosed with cancer.

On Tuesday Lee appeared on Good Morning America to announce that she has breast cancer, and will undergo a double mastectomy this week.

Sandra Lee says says she doing a magazine photo shoot when she got the news. The good news is that because the cancer was caught early enough, it has not spread.

Lee says that her long time boyfriend, Governor Andrew Cuomo, has been extremely supportive and will be in the operating room with her during her surgery. As for her future, Lee says she is focusing on recovery. But she does hope to use her experience to encourage other women to get mammograms.
