The Foo Fighters hosted a star-studded private concert Saturday night (Oct. 15) for a couple of hundred lucky - and presumably generous - donors to the band's annual fundraiser for improvements at local schools.

Sammy Hagar recounted his role in the event with photos and a post on his official website. He explained that he flew in earlier that afternoon from his club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where he had just completed a four-day version of his annual birthday bash. After playing "one of the most up-tempo high energy versions ever" of "I Can't Drive 55," the Red Rocker teamed up with Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl for a duet on Van Halen's "Finish What You Started" before welcoming Jason Bonham up to the stage for a take on Led Zeppelin's "Rock 'n' Roll." "I'm having more fun at this time in my life than ever," Hagar enthused. "Now I really do want to live to be 100."

As you can see from the set list photo below, Kiss frontman Paul Stanley, Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols and Stewart Copeland of the Police were among those who joined in to play some of their most famous songs.

Stanley, who previously joined the Foo Fighters on stage for Grohl's January 2015 birthday party, also tackled Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and the Rolling Stones' "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)."
