Florida News: Read What Unbelievable Thing Happened During This Police Chase

So a 22 year old Florida man named Calvin Rodriguez decided to get into some trouble by stealing a 1999 Honda Civic earlier this week. He was spotted by Port St. Lucie Police and a high speed chase ensued. According to a police report, the suspect "began driving at a high rate of speed and was lost sight of.” Now while Rodriguez may have thought he had evaded capture, our story does not end there...

It was later discovered by police that the Civic had careened off the road and eventually crashed into a median...after it STRUCK AN ALLIGATOR.

Rodriguez was arrested and faces a number of felony theft charges. He is being held in the St. Lucie county jail in lieu of $37,500 bond. It is uncertain if the good samaritan reptile survived.
