If you're going to kill someone and claim self defense, then you're definitely going to need a good lawyer. Driving the dead body right to the lawyer's office is not what they had in mind, however.  Where else? Florida.

A Florida man named John Marshall had had a dispute with a neighbor over property work. Marshall claims he feared for his safety so his lawyer advised him to get a restraining order. The dispute would escalate. Marshall says he was forced to kill his neighbor, Ted Hubbell Jr, in self defense. He would later tell his attorney that a scuffled had ensued, and that he wrestled a gun away from Hubbell before fatally shooting the man. This is when things get really weird...

Seeking legal advice, Marshall dropped Hubbell's dead body in the bed of his pick up and drove to Robert Harris's Fort Meyers law firm Wednesday. Marshall said later that he brought the body there cause he simply didn't know who else to trust. His attorney says that the 52-year old Marshall had a swollen lip, a missing tooth that was just knocked out, another tooth that is chipped and what looked like two broken thumbs.. Marshall said he brought the man to the attorney's office because he didn't know who else to trust.

A Lee County Sheriff's deputies on the scene declined to say whether or not Marshall will be arrested for the incident. According to News-Press, neighbors described the late Hubbell as a 'Buddhist pacifist type' while describing Marshall as 'loud and aggressive'. Marshall has been arrested before as his was taken in in 2014 on a battery charge.
