Florida News: 80 Year Old Asks Young Guy To Stop Cursing In Public, Young Guy Punches Him

A simple night out at Applebee's was recently spolied for one Florida senior citizen. Harry Sander was probably just minding his business, trying to enjoy something off the 2 for $20 menu, when he encountered another, younger patron who was destined to ruin everything. 26 year old Mikie Sawyer was also at Applebees' that night, and was said to be cursing loudly while in public. It isn't exactly clear what he was vulgarly ranting about, but witnesses say it had to do with the female anatomy. Sander would not stand for this, so he spoke up to the younger man about his choice of words. According to Daytona Beach News-Journal, Sawyer shot back at the older man and told him to go back to the other side of the bar. Sander refused. That's when witnesses say the 26 year old punched the 80 year old right in the face, and pushed him to the ground.

Once the cops were called, Sawyer tried to get away in his black Ford pickup truck, but was stopped across the street and arrested. NBC Miami reports that he was charged with battery on a person over age 65 and disorderly conduct. Talk about a lack of respect for your elders.
