YNN Hudson Valley reports that a person in Rockland County is the latest to be diagnosed with Legionnaire's Disease. The infected person is reportedly an employee at Chromalloy in Orangeburg, says YNN.

Chromalloy says that while they aren't certain if the employee was exposed to the bacterium at the facility, they immediately began working with OSHA. The plant has been closed as a precaution.

New York City has seen more than one hundred cases of Legionnaire's reported so far. Ten people have died from disease. Health officials are racing to determine why there are so many cases in the area. Governor Cuomo tried to ease fears by saying that while this is the most significant outbreak The Bronx has ever seen, it isn't a freak occurrence. Cuomo said that he will work with health officials to come up with a statewide protocol to deal with any further potential outbreaks.

Legionnaire's Disease is not spread person to person. Legionella bacteria is found in water tanks and air conditioning units, and is dangerous when inhaled.
