First 3 Finalists Named in Hudson Valley Comedy Search

Round one of the Funniest Person in the Hudson Valley Contest is over and three contestants have moved on to the final round.

Ten WPDH listeners took to the stage at the Laugh It Up Comedy Club in Poughkeepsie on Friday night. The audience, as well as our panel of judges, were blown away by the talent of these up-and-coming comedians. Hudson Valley comic veteran, Rich Shultis, said that in all of his years of hosting amateur comedy competitions, this one was by far the most competitive.

The audience on Friday was given the tough job of voting for just three comedians to move on to the finals. Round two of the semifinals will take place at 8pm on Sept. 30 at Joker's Comedy Club in Chester. So if you missed out on round one, there's still time to enter by sending us a video.
