Now, for some good news for a change.

A Schenectady couple was racing their way to Bellevue Woman's Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. The couple was expected their child to be born at any moment, so they obviously didn't have a moment to spare. Well, as we all know, nature doesn't always wait...

That's when the local fire department saved the day.

The Schenectady Fire Department say they were dispatched at around 4:20, Tuesday afternoon. When they arrived, they found a woman in labor on a lawn. CBS Albany reports that the baby girl was born 16 minutes after help arrived. In fact, officials from the FD help deliver the baby right there on the side of the road. The family was then taken the remainder of the way to Bellevue, where officials say they are settling in.
