A road rage incident turned deadly on the Taconic State Parkway over Memorial Day Weekend.

New York State Police charged Christian A. Walczyk, 21, of Pleasant Valley with manslaughter after he allegedly stabbed 28-year-old Daniel Siino of Hartsdale in the chest. Hartsdale later died from his injuries at Westchester Medical Center.

Walczyk and Siino were involved in a road rage incident around 10:30PM on Saturday, May 27 when the altercation turned physical and Siino was stabbed. A passenger in Siino's vehicle drove him to the hospital while calling 911 to report the incident, police said. Emergency services and New York State Police located the car and provided aid while transporting him to the hospital.

Walczyk left the scene and also contacted 911, police said. He was later located and taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in the Town of Mt. Pleasant Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.

The Town of Mount Pleasant Police Department, the Village of Briarcliff Manor Police Department and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office assisted the New York State Police in the investigation.

Miranda is due to return to the Town of Wallkill court on May 31.
