Hudson Valley beer lovers will soon be able to purchase Fat Tire, as New Belgium Brewing expands into New York State.

The critically acclaimed brewery out of Fort Collins, Colorado announced that they will be expanding into the Empire State in just a few weeks. Beer fans are rejoicing at the thought of being able to purchase Fat Tire here at home.

There have been several online campaigns throughout the years to bring New Belgium beers to New York, but the dream was never turned into a reality until now. With the addition of a second brewing facility that has just begun production in Asheville, North Carolina, there finally enough beer to expand into the East Coast.

Manhattan Beer Distributors have been named a the local supplier of New Belgium for the Hudson Valley area. They are expected to have deliveries in stores for the official New York launch on May 16.

New Belgium is already looking to give New Yorkers their first taste of their beers. It's just been announced that they will be appearing at the Beer, Bourbon and Bacon festival at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on June 20.

According to a press release shared by Drinks Business Review, the company will be offering Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Citradelic IPA, Rampant Imperial IPA and their summer seasonal offering, Heavy Melon Watermelon Lime Ale. In August they also plan to start distributing Slow Ride Session IPA, 1554 Black Lager and Lips of Faith.

Both Fat Tire and Citradelic will be available in cans as well as bottles, just in time for beach season.

We want to know what you think about New Belgium finally being distributed in New York. Are you excited about the news? What's the first New Belgium beer that you'd like to try?
