Fake Baby in ‘American Sniper’ Is Another Movie Annoyance

The fake baby used in American Sniper is just one of a long list of stupid things directors do that ruin movies for us.

Moviegoers were scratching their heads when an emotional scene from the Academy Award nominated film was overshadowed by Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller acting around an obviously fake-looking baby.

Why director, Clint Eastwood didn't insist on using a real baby is a mystery. But this isn't the first time we've been taken out of a moment by stupid filmmaking.

Here is a list of movie blunders that drive us insane! What is yours?

• Computer screens that display obviously fake computer code or video
• Background video that makes us painfully aware that those actors aren't driving in real cars
• Phone numbers that start with "555".
• When guns make that weird clicking noise that doesn't really happen in real life.
• Childbirth scenes where the baby comes out perfectly clean and 6 months old.
• Having unrealistic one-sided phone conversations: "You're telling me that you are holding my girlfriend for ransom? And that you'll kill her if I don't give you money? I'll be right there!"
• The good guy never gets hit by a bullet, even at close range.
