It's a touchy subject, but one has to wonder what happens to someone's Facebook profile if the user unexpectedly dies. Now, Facebook has launched a new "legacy contact" feature, which allows the user to choose a friend or relative who can manage their profile, posthumously.

The person chosen will be able to change their loved one's profile pic and cover photo,  and can post status updates and even accept friend requests. They will not be able to answer private messages, however. If a user chooses not to let someone else manage their page after their death, they can request their account is deleted once they pass away.
