A Mount Kisco man admitted Tuesday to stealing $89,000 from the village, during a four month period earlier this year...but maybe not in the way you'd expect. According to lohud news, 36 year old former parking enforcement officer Jeffrey Daday (and we stress FORMER) would apparently empty the change from the village's parking meters and skim off the proceeds. Then Daday would deposit stolen money into his account at the People's United Savings Bank in Mount Kisco.

That's over 356,000 quarters we're talking about.

Mt. Kisco police were tipped to the ongoing theft, and with the help of the DA's office, arrested Daday after surveillance showed him stealing from the meters. Daday plead guilty at Westchester County Court to felony counts of second-degree grand larceny and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. Now he could be facing up 15 years in prison.
