The Dutchess County Division of Solid Waste Management is working to increase recycling within the county. They will offer an interactive after-school educational program for children. They have been focused on helping schools and community groups increase the amount of materials they recycle by providing recycling presentations.
The program involves teaching ways to increase recycling, the typical items that can be recycled, why we should recycle, and how to promote recycling and waste reduction in our daily lives. The goal is getting citizens excited about the benefits of recycling and waste reduction.
