The Mehalak Family Benefit Concert — High Falls Cafe, High Falls, NY

The High Falls Café is pleased to host a benefit concert for the Mehalak family on Saturday, January 11th featuring iS Jam Trio and Soulia and the Sultans.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be musical collaboration between the two bands during the show and a silent auction throughout the night. There is a $5 donation at the door. All proceeds from the event will go towards the Mehalak Family.

John Mehalak was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis as an infant. Since then he has required frequent hospitalizations at Albany Medical Center and daily medical treatments. In September he received a double lung transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. John continues to recover from the transplant in Pittsburgh while his wife, Laura, and son, John IV, struggles to makes ends meet with extensive medical bills and travel expenses.

iS Jam Trio is an unusual, three piece jam band that delivers live performances to electrify audiences. The band’s name, which loosely means “the present tense,” emphasizes their improvisational nature. Each show offers a unique experience that includes diverse, memorable songs and exceptional musicianship.

Soulia and the Sultans play the sounds of Peggy Lee, Elvis Presley, Billie Holiday, The Shirelles, Ella Fitzgerald, and classics from the American songbook.
