Tenth Annual Secret Gardens Tour July 12th — Saugerties

Last year over 350 people were lucky enough to discover secret gardens at private homes in Saugerties. They did this on the Secret Gardens Tour. The tour, which will be held on July 12th, is an annual fundraising event. Proceeds from this year’s tour will benefit the Boys & Girls Club and the Ulster County SPCA. Tour participants will visit six private gardens in the Saugerties area on the self-driven tour. Every year, the tour demonstrates a wide range of outdoor living spaces reflecting the personalities of the gardeners behind them. Each of the gardens is unique and wonderful in its own way.

To celebrate the tour’s tenth year, there will be a scavenger hunt for tour participants. Participants will enter at end of the tour and can win great prizes.

This year’s tour will, again, coordinate with the Saugerties Farmers’ Market, which is along the tour route, to offer a special price fixed lunch for tour goers.

The tour will be held on Saturday, July 12th from 10:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Advance tickets are $20 through July 11th. Tickets can be purchased at Smith Hardware, Saugerties and Herzog’s Supply in the Kingston Plaza.

Tickets on the day of the tour will be $30 at 201 Washington Ave. (corner Finger St.), Saugerties, between 10:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Torrential rain date - July 13th. For additional information call 246-0710.
