MVP Health Care presents: Project GO!  Local contender, Cider Mill Friends of Open Space & Historic Preservation (CMF) is restoring the circa 1880 Kimlin Cider Mill and the two acres of open space around the mill. CMF is working to restore the meadow alongside the mill, including removing invasive species, grading, and new plantings. Walking trails will be created for passive recreation, located off a county bicycle route. Signs will be placed along the trails informing the public about the meadow and the historic mill. This project will make the community healthier by providing opportunities for the public to get involved in the restoration, and in the end providing a location for passive recreation. The project will also help the community to better understand the environment and history of the area, realizing the importance of these issues. If this project is chosen, the funding will go towards the removal of invasive species, re-grading of the meadow, purchase of native wildflower seeds, construction of the walking trails, signs, and other amenities.
