The Mid-Hudson Valley Path Through History workgroup will present the 3rd Annual Hudson Valley Heritage Fair on Sunday, May 6 from noon to 4 p.m. The event is free and offers the public the chance to discover heritage tourism destinations from throughout the Hudson Valley region. Over 20 organizations and attractions representing different eras of local history will have booths set up in the event hall at the Locust Grove Estate in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Military reenactors will be encamped outside and a food truck will provide refreshments.

In addition to the fair, visitors are able to tour the mansion and grounds at the Locust Grove Estate, once home to inventor and artist Samuel F.B. Morse, as well as browse through the estate’s gift shop. Admission is charged for tours of the mansion. The Locust Grove Estate is located at 2683 South Rd., Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12601.

The event is organized by the Mid-Hudson Valley Path Through History workgroup, consisting of various stakeholders who seek to strengthen the regional history and tourism communities.
