Adventure in Nature Journaling & Writing
If you like writing or have entertained the idea of writing about nature here is a great opportunity for you to glean ideas and practice your skill. The workshop will begin in the cool air-conditioned Wallace Center education room where River will guide the group through reflective poetry and prose writings on nature and history that was written during FDR’s life. Transitioning from the cool air to the fresh air in nature we will venture out into the estate on a nature walk. Taking the tools gathered from the beginning of the workshop you will have the opportunity to write on your own and if desired, share your master piece with the group.
Wharton is a writer and artist, recently relocated to the Hudson Valley from Denver, Colorado. His essays, stories, and poetry have appeared in numerous publications across America and Canada. From travel writing to narrative interviews, from garden poetry to impressionist stories, his art aims to instruct and strengthen our connection to the land, our history, and each other.
