Dutchess County farmhand Jesse Strang abandoned his family to start life over in Albany, New York. There he had the misfortune of falling in love with the beautiful Elsie Whipple. Blinded by their passion, Strang was easily manipulated into murdering Elsie’s husband. The love triangle didn’t end well, however, as Jesse Strang would later hang for his crime.
