Additional Information

The Brittany Miller Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 1995 to fill a great need in our community. The organization is inspired by the memory of Brittany Miller, a Middletown, New York girl who on July 31, 1996 – her seventh birthday – died after fighting a spirited battle against brain cancer. After Brittany was diagnosed, her parents Dean and Suzanne Miller discovered that in addition to the emotional drain, families are faced with another hardship of lodging, meals, parking, tolls, and gasoline expenses which health insurance doesn’t cover.

The Foundation raises funds and disperses grants to families from their New York counties of Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, Dutchess and Pike County, PA, who have children undergoing treatment of cancer. Specifically, these grants are to be used to defray travel, lodging, food and miscellaneous expenses associated with visits to hospitals or other treatment facilities in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut
