TheaterSounds Playreadings Presents 2 Across Matinee, May 24

TheaterSounds, in conjunction with Two for the Road, will present Jerry Mayer’s “2 Across” in a 4pm matinee reading on Sunday, May 24. This special matinee performance will take place at Kingston’s Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills. Admission is by donation.

Stephen Bradbury* and Nicola Sheara* perform this comedy of crosswords and romance. Two strangers alone doing Crossword Puzzles in a San Francisco BART train at 4:30am begins a journey described by critics as "Hilarious," "Witty," "Poignant," and "Wonderfully entertaining." Jerry Mayer’s adept blending of wit, humor, and drama earned “2 Across” a Best Play in L. A. award. When the ride ends in this “laugh-a-minute, romantic comedy,” each of his characters has been changed forever, and we’re left to wonder if they’ll ever meet again.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills is located at 320 Sawkill Road, 1.5 miles north of Washington Avenue and 1.5 miles south of Route 209 in Kingston. Celebrating its 13th season of play readings, TheaterSounds Hudson Valley Playreading Series has brought more than 175 professional actors and some 120 plays to its Kingston venue.
